 In Elizabethton, just a few minutes from Watauga Lake, is Elizabethton Golf Course. This course opened in the 1930s, however it was renovated in 1973 and redesigned by DJ DeVictor.
In 1993, a full renovation was completed making Elizabethton Golf Course one of the best East Tennessee Golf Courses in the area. The 18 hole course has gently sloping terrains and Bermuda fairways that are well manicured to ensure player satisfaction. Nestled in a scenic valley just over the state line in North Carolina in the town of Newland NC, Mountain Glen has long been a golf course that locals and visitors to the region appreciate. Mountain Glen opened in 1963 and is still operating the beautiful 18 hole golf course and
driving range today. The course was designed by George Cobb and features a number of challenges, but is still a great course for every
